Elementary School Programs

"Out of the public schools grows the greatness of a nation." Mark Twain

IF your child will not be 5 or 6 years old by September 1st, and you wish to pursue enrollment, please review the requirements in policy JEBA and JEBA-AR. The policy and AR (Administrative Rules) are very specific about the necessity for psychological testing to determine kindergarten or first grade readiness of a student younger than the required age. The tests are scheduled and paid for by the parent.

Elementary Registration Information

A child must be 5 years of age by September 1 to enter kindergarten and 6 years of age by September 1 to enter first grade. Parents should go to their attendance area school to register and bring their child's birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residence, and names and telephone numbers of emergency contacts

Below, you can review the vaccinations required for the 2016-2017 school year. In addition, we have provided a Parents Guide / Guia Para Padres that may answer some of your questions prior to registration.
